Turkey to Ratify Defence Pact with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan

• Turkey's parliament is set to ratify a defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on November 4.
• The pact includes a collective defence clause, committing Turkey to defend Saudi Arabia.
• The pact comes as Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis mount attacks on Saudi Arabia.
• The pact does not specify troop deployment, budget, forces, or terrorism responses, leaving these for future decisions.
• The pact is known as the Mecca Pact.
