Trump and Melania Host White House Halloween Event, Avoid Past Incident

• President Trump and First Lady Melania hosted the annual White House Halloween event on Thursday.
• The event took place just hours after Trump returned from a rally in South Carolina ahead of the midterm elections.
• The Trumps handed out candy to hundreds of children, avoiding a previous incident where Trump put candy on children's heads.
• The White House welcomed approximately 6,000 trick-or-treaters for the annual Halloween celebration.
• The Trumps distributed commemorative full-sized chocolate bars to the children attending the event.
