Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Aims for Historic NBA MVP Streak

• Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder is a contender for three consecutive NBA MVP awards.
• Only four players have achieved this feat in NBA history: Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, and most recently, LeBron James.
• No player has won three consecutive MVP awards since LeBron James in 2012-2013.
• Gilgeous-Alexander has already won back-to-back MVP awards in the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons.
• Winning a third consecutive MVP would place Gilgeous-Alexander among the greatest players in NBA history.
