Jeremy Peña's Injury Recovery and Astros' Infield Decisions in 2026

• Jeremy Peña, the Astros' shortstop, fractured his finger before the 2026 season.
• After recovering from injury, Peña performed well but inconsistently in the 2026 season.
• The Astros' infield included Christian Walker, Jose Altuve, Jeremy Peña, Carlos Correa, and Isaac Paredes.
• Speculation arose about potential trades in the offseason due to the crowded infield.
• The Astros decided not to make any trades, keeping all five infielders on the roster.
