Four UK Cities Shortlisted for 2029 City of Culture

• The winner will receive £10 million to deliver a year of cultural activities.
• The four shortlisted cities will receive at least £125,000 to develop their bids.
• The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) announced the shortlist.
• The winner will be selected in early 2027.
• The title is part of a cultural initiative to promote and fund local events.
