• BJP has nominated Hardeep Puri for the Rajya Sabha bypoll in Madhya Pradesh.
• The by-election is scheduled for November 12.
• The bypoll was necessitated by L. Murugan's resignation from the Council of Ministers and his Rajya Sabha seat.
• Hardeep Puri, the only Sikh minister in the Narendra Modi cabinet, was previously elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.
